The Story of ProfDoc Adetula Aishat Ibidun

ProfDoc Adetula Aishat IBIDUN (a.k.a. Nana Adetula) is the founder and director of the Kanzul Light of Hope Foundation (KLOHF), a non-profit organization that supports less privileged and vulnerable individuals by providing educational and vocational training with counseling, mentoring, and coaching services to individuals or groups in organizations to attain their purpose.

Adetula's journey as a social entrepreneur started when she noticed the large number of people living in harsh conditions in her community. Philanthropic actions and serving others have been integral parts of her life. Adetula decided to combine her passion to serve her community by creating training programs leading to positive, nurturing environment outcomes, combining emotional intelligence techniques, self-discovery exercises, and customized personal development plans for organizations as well as households.

In 2022, the venture focused on providing basic training and vocational skills to the physically challenged to TURN their DISABILITIES into abilities and enable widows to become self-reliant.

Scaling up a venture is challenging. Especially when it comes to supporting vulnerable populations. The request for counseling services has been increasing, but financial constraints are limiting the expansion. Another challenge is to convince volunteers and vulnerable people to experience for themselves the positive impact and benefits of emotional intelligence exercises for their own personal development and well-being.

Making the right connections and sharing values in local communities require trust. proximity and controlling emotions through self-discovery and personal assessment. For example, the Kanzul Light of Hope Foundation offers premarital counseling programs and seminars focused on training the trainer to be able to reach communities in remote areas of Nigeria.

There are several ways to contribute to the KANZUL LIGHT OF HOPE FOUNDATION.

Collaboration and partnerships with groups and organizations are always welcome so we can create safer and more supportive environments where people can feel comfortable discussing their challenges, both emotional and psychological, and seeking help when necessary to make the world a better and healthier place.
